For a while, we've been on the hunt for a top notch PHP developer and we're delighted to welcome Kyle Shearer into the studio to boldly code where no coder has coded before. I caught up with Kyle to put him through the usual, Everyone initiation process - the blog!
Describe yourself in 3 words
Curious, diligent, silly.
What made you want to come and work for Everyone?
I've come from a very small team, and getting the chance to work with a team of experienced, creative developers who encourage personal and team growth really excites me. From the moment I stepped into Everyone's studio and met the team, I knew I was surrounded by a group of like-minded individuals.
What’s your favourite website website/app?
I couldn't pick out one website, but I enjoy visiting tech aggregator sites such as mashable.com and thenextweb.com as there’s always something new and interesting to learn about.
What 3 things could you not live without
The internet, Google and my car.
Do you have a coding hero?
I don't think I could pick out one particular person who has inspired me as a developer. There are numerous mavericks in the web industry who are constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be done with a web browser. These guys and girls are incredible and we owe so much to them.
What 3 people would you have round for a dinner party (dead or alive) and why
Ooh, this is a tricky one. My first pick would have to be the late, great David Bowie. I’ve listened to his music for as long as I can remember - he truly was an incredibly creative mind. I’d love to hear Ernest Hemingway’s tales first hand, and last but no means least would be Richard Ayoade. I think the three of them would make for some very interesting conversation.
Do you have a party piece or any hidden talents?
I played the drums for Emelie Sande once...
