After an unforgettable 2014 in Scotland...

2015 seemed to have a calmer ring to it. Or so we thought…
Zero Waste Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government to deliver its Zero Waste Plan and a host of low carbon, resource efficiency priorities for the country. For example, did you notice the recent ban on shops issuing free carrier bags? Everyone is currently working on two separate sites for a client that teaches us new things every day about how we should be treating our wonderful planet.
And for the foodies out there. John Gilmour Butchers has a mission to offer the best fresh meat delivery service around and we are really enjoying working to bring this established Scottish business into the digital era. We have created an all new brand and Ecommerce website, with some beautiful use of full screen imaging.
Over the past year, we have done everything but tread the boards with award-winning Edinburgh-based theatre company Lung Has. Their new logo was recently launched and we hope the main event will be even more popular when we launch the new website in early Spring. Look out also for their forthcoming production of The Strange Case of Jekyll and Hyde, performing in Edinburgh and Dundee.
The new drink drive limit has landed in Scotland with a mixed response. But, if you fancy a glass of wine when you’re out in Edinburgh and the car is parked on a single yellow line, Scoot are here to help. These guys will simply pop a fold-up scooter in the boot of your vehicle and drive you home, before returning to the city centre on their two wheeler. It’s a brilliant business that is already hugely successful and we hope to improve it still with the launch of their new bookings site in the next few weeks.
Over the Forth Bridges to the Kingdom, we are currently working with Fife Council to create a new tourism website and digital strategy. Welcome to Fife will be all about the amazing golf, beaches, food, towns, villages and countryside on offer in this varied and dynamic region. There are hidden gems and historical buildings galore, which we look forward to celebrating. It will launch in the Spring, ahead of the Open Championship, to be held in St Andrews in July.
Ever dreamt of taking a glammed-up luxury camper van and hitting the open road? That’s the world Rockinvans occupy every day and they offer some very cool vehicles for hire or purchase. That sounds like heaven to us. We are currently redeveloping both brand and website to showcase the amazing quality of the vehicles and services this business provides. Island hopping around the Hebrides anyone?
Susan McGill Designs is a ceramic artist with a difference. As well as creating stunning one-off pieces which are always in great demand, Susan also brings her beautiful and distinctive black and white designs to a range of other gifts, now available on the spanking new website we have worked with them to create. All the design products are designed exclusively by Susan McGill, all drawn out at her kitchen table in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
Not averse to working behind the scenes for our clients, we are currently working with Edinburgh International Science Festival to create a Festival Management system which will handle all aspects of the event – inventories, accommodation, internal workings and more. Look out also for the launch of their new website prior to the 2015 festival in April.
Other new clients we are delighted to welcome into the fold include new projects for STV, SOAR, Scottish Golf Passport, Anderson Bell + Christie and Visual Arts Scotland. Watch this space to find out more soon.
