Zero Waste Scotland & Resource Efficient Scotland
/ Posted By Colin Walker
Everyone is delighted to announce the launch of two new sites for Zero Waste Scotland, the country’s leading resource efficiency and circular economy expert.
Funded by The Scottish Government, it is a company limited by guarantee and governed by a Board of non-executive Director. Zero Waste Scotland’s work supports the delivery of the Scottish Government’s Zero Waste Plan and other low carbon policy priorities.
It has a mission to influence and enable change: From gathering evidence and informing policy, to motivating practical behavioural change in individuals and organisations through its programmes and brands.
The two sites have been created by Everyone in collaboration with Zero Waste Scotland.
Zero Waste Scotland
This site is designed to inform individuals, business, public sector organisations, resource management organisations, re-use organisations and local authorities about the issues covered by the organisation. Offering help, research and evidence, case studies and support, users can discover more about sustainable consumer behaviour, recycling performance, re-use, the circular economy and available support.
It will be kept up-to-date with press releases, news articles, blog posts, funding opportunities, case studies and more, making it the “go to” site in Scotland for this subject matter. There is so much to learn from the content on the site and it’s well worth a visit.
Resource Efficient Scotland

Resource Efficient Scotland is the business-focused Scottish Government Programme delivered by Zero Waste Scotland and has been designed to help the public, private and third sectors reduce costs by implementing resource efficiencies in energy, water, raw materials and waste management.
The programme works directly with organisations, operating on a day-to-day basis, to provide advice and support. For example, you might be a restaurant owner who seeks one to one support or advice on how to engage staff members on how to recycle more. Or a construction professional who seeks funding information to develop an environmental policy. The site is full of guides, case studies and relevant information to help organisations in this cause.
We hope you find time to get involved in the work of Zero Waste Scotland and it's vision.
