Bayne's The Family Bakers
The design and development of a mobile app for a family-run bakery, created to support the launch of their new click-and-collect service. The app was designed with simplicity and warmth in mind, reflecting the bakery’s local, family-focused values while making online ordering quick and intuitive. A clear menu layout, customisable orders, and streamlined checkout help customers place orders with just a few taps, reducing in-store queues and improving convenience.

Designed with usability at its core, the Baynes app has been carefully built to keep the purchase journey short, fast, and easy to repeat. As a hybrid app that works seamlessly across multiple device types, it integrates closely with external systems such as HubRise to deliver smooth Click & Collect functionality across major delivery platforms including Just Eat and Deliveroo.
The app operates as a headless catalogue, tightly integrated with Baynes’ existing ERP system. While the app is just one part of the wider ecosystem, the supporting back-end tools provide the marketing team with clear insight into performance, adoption, and overall contribution to sales.Built using the Ionic framework and Eskimo V5.0, our development team worked closely to ensure one of Scotland’s favourite brands is always close to hand. The app is now being rolled out nationwide and is set to become a significant new revenue channel for the Baynes business.
